Coach Brown led the Philadelphia 76ers to 28 wins in the 2016-17 season, an 18 game win increase over the previous season. The win increase was accomplished with the youngest roster of players in the NBA and was the largest win increase in the league in the last year. Coach Brown is now the 6th longest-tenured coach in the NBA. Bryan Colangelo, the 76ers President of Basketball Operations stated after the season in a sixers.com article: "Brett is a tireless worker. He is fully committed to growing this program and making players at all levels of the roster better. He’s not just focused on the top-flight guys. From 1-through-15, he’s trying to make [everyone] better in terms of focus on player development and care of coaching.”
