Molly Konopka

Molly Konopka has been coaching at The Episcopal Academy outside of Philadelphia since 1996.  Prior to this, she was the women's varsity coach at St. Joseph's University and the novice coach at Fordham University. She began her professional coaching career as the men's head coach at The Hun School of Princeton in September of 1988.

In her tenure at Episcopal her crews won 13 Philadelphia City Championships, 12 Stotesbury medals, and 14 SRAA medals. As the head coach, she directs the men's and women's varsity boats in both sculling and sweep disciplines. During the summer, Molly is the head junior coach at Fairmount Rowing Association on Boathouse Row, which in recent years has produced numerous Canadian Henley finalists and champions. At Fairmount, Molly serves as a member of the Board. In the Philadelphia Scholastic Rowing Association, she is the head of the racing committee.

Between practices, she teaches Latin full-time at Episcopal. In her tenure, she has co-authored three Latin text books and has served on the athletic contract committee. She and her husband, Bruce, have five children.

Molly began her rowing at West Side Rowing Club, Buffalo, NY in 1980 and continued her rowing at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA.
