Chase Trimmer
Chase Trimmer is the Director of the Philadelphia program for Special Olympics Pennsylvania where he works to bring people with and without intellectual disabilities together through sports training, competitions, leadership development and health education and services that promote equity and inclusion. The Philadelphia program serves over 1,000 participants through school-based and community-based programming across the city of Philadelphia. Since joining the Special Olympics PA team in April of 2018, Chase has led significant strategic growth in partnership with the School District of Philadelphia and Philadelphia Parks and Recreation, and is a founding member of Special Olympics Pennsylvania’s Board of Directors Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.
A graduate of the University of Delaware, Chase earned a B.A. in English/Journalism with a focus of study on urban education. His career of community organizing and service began with City Year Greater Philadelphia and continued as Director of the Police Athletic League of Philadelphia (PAL).
Prior to becoming Director for Special Olympics PA – Philadelphia, Chase served on the Executive Advisory Board where he brought his passion for bringing communities together, promoting greater awareness and inclusion of differences, and learning from individuals, families and the communities he serves to the table.
