Dr. Elizabeth Neil serves as an assistant professor in the Department of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at Temple University. Effective July 1, she will undertake the role of program director for both the master's of science and doctorate in athletic training programs at Temple. Dr. Neil earned her PhD in curriculum and instruction, specializing in athletic training education, from Indiana State University in Terre Haute, IN.
In addition to her academic responsibilities, Dr. Neil also works as a part-time athletic trainer for the Philadelphia Union Academy. Recently, she accompanied the U16s on a European Tour, participating in the Iber Cup and other friendly matches. Previously, Dr. Neil provided athletic training services at Union Health Center for Sports Medicine in Terre Haute, IN, where she worked with local high schools and colleges. She also worked at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX, primarily with the women's soccer, equestrian, and men's and women's cross country and track and field teams.
Dr. Neil's research interests include medical documentation, healthcare administration, clinical education, and the advancement of mental health initiatives within educational settings.
